Brandon Clare and Family bought JM Watkins, Inc November 2013, a longstanding landmark in Plum City for 3 generations. JM Watkins has served the surrounding communities with quality meats, meat processing, and friendly service. They have paired small town values with old fashion flavor. Families in the area have relied on JM Watkins for quality meats for generations.
Brandon has known the Watkins family his entire life and used to play with their kids while growing up. He enjoyed the products they made and have not change any of the recipes they have created. Why change a good recipe?

The Watkins family has been in business for 66 years, for 3 generations and have created a very loyal following of customers because of the great products they have made and their contributions to the community. In order to continue the tradition of quality foods and to help Brandon learn the business Bob Watkins and Gloria Watkins have agreed to continue working for at least one year. Brandon has researched the industry and has talked to other experienced meat cutters to learn as much as possible. An experienced meat cutter will be joining Brandon, so he can continue the Watkins tradition of quality and value.
“My plan for the future of Watkins is to not change any of the recipes that have made them so successful. I do however, plan to add new recipes and products that have not been offered. I want to add brat and summer sausage flavors along with more snack sticks. I will also be looking into the possibility of adding chicken, lamb and fresh seafood. I think a fresh meat case may be beneficial and think there is a great opportunity to increase retail sales by contacting more convenience stores and local restaurants. I also plan to increase advertising in the newspaper and through social media. Our website is new and we hope you like it! I am thinking of offering specials on the website and through Facebook”
