Brandon and Erin moved back to the Plum City area from Hartford, WI near Milwaukee in 2010.  The job Brandon originally had when we moved back wasn't a good fit for him, and he started looking for something different.  Bob and Doug Watkins were selling the locker, and it appealed to Brandon because it was a local, small business with opportunity to grow.  

 

When they purchased JM Watkins, it was still very small, and much of the work was done with older equipment.  Brandon and Erin have continually improved the equipment, and try to improve efficiency in many ways.  The two things that have not, and will never change, are the original recipes from the Watkins', and their superior customer service possible.

 

Currently JM Watkins runs with 10 full-time employees (not counting Brandon or Erin), and 8 part-time employees.

 

The downtown location of JM Watkins was in a building built in 1901.  It had been added onto, and remodeled several times over its lifetime, but it was beginning to show its age.  Also, the limited footprint of the building prohibited any expansion, or any remodeling that would improve efficiency.
